This has to be somewhat of a subjective argument here, and a lot of people will say that snakes are larger and can eat most spiders all day long. But I would argue that if they were the same size, a spider would be the dominant predator all day long. Sure an anaconda would crush a hobo spider pretty quickly. but if that hobo were the same size and weight as the anaconda, I would put my money on it! In fact, we show you some cases of the largest spiders taking out some smaller snakes! It is pretty amazing to see.

Spider
Spiders (order Araneae) are air-breathing arthropods that have eight legs and chelicerae with fangs that inject venom. They are the largest order of arachnids and rank seventh in total species diversity among all other orders of organisms. Spiders are found worldwide on every continent except for Antarctica, and have become established in nearly every habitat with the exceptions of air and sea colonization. As of November 2015, at least 45,700 spider species, and 114 families have been recorded by taxonomists. However, there has been dissension within the scientific community as to how all these families should be classified, as evidenced by the over 20 different classifications that have been proposed since 1900.
Anatomically, spiders differ from other arthropods in that the usual body segments are fused into two tagmata, the cephalothorax and abdomen, and joined by a small, cylindrical pedicel. Unlike insects, spiders do not have antennae. In all except the most primitive group, the Mesothelae, spiders have the most centralized nervous systems of all arthropods, as all their ganglia are fused into one mass in the cephalothorax. Unlike most arthropods, spiders have no extensor muscles in their limbs and instead extend them by hydraulic pressure.

Snake
Snakes are elongated, legless, carnivorous reptiles of the suborder Serpentes that can be distinguished from legless lizards by their lack of eyelids and external ears. Like all squamates, snakes are ectothermic, amniote vertebrates covered in overlapping scales. Many species of snakes have skulls with several more joints than their lizard ancestors, enabling them to swallow prey much larger than their heads with their highly mobile jaws. To accommodate their narrow bodies, snakes' paired organs (such as kidneys) appear one in front of the other instead of side by side, and most have only one functional lung. Some species retain a pelvic girdle with a pair of vestigial claws on either side of the cloaca.
Living snakes are found on every continent except Antarctica, and on most smaller land masses — exceptions include some large islands, such as Ireland and New Zealand, and many small islands of the Atlantic and central Pacific. Additionally, sea snakes are widespread throughout the Indian and Pacific Oceans. More than 20 families are currently recognized, comprising about 500 genera and about 3,400 species. They range in size from the tiny, 10 cm-long thread snake to the reticulated python of up to 6.95 meters (22.8 ft) in length. The fossil species Titanoboa cerrejonensis was 13 meters (43 ft) long. Snakes are thought to have evolved from either burrowing or aquatic lizards, perhaps during the Jurassic period, with the earliest known fossils dating to between 143 and 167 Ma ago. The diversity of modern snakes appeared during the Paleocene period (c 66 to 56 Ma ago). The oldest preserved descriptions of snakes can be found in the Brooklyn Papyrus.

This has to be somewhat of a subjective argument here, and a lot of people will say that snakes are larger and can eat most spiders all day long. But I would argue that if they were the same size, a spider would be the dominant predator all day long. Sure an anaconda would crush a hobo spider pretty quickly. but if that hobo were the same size and weight as the anaconda, I would put my money on it! In fact, we show you some cases of the largest spiders taking out some smaller snakes! It is pretty amazing to see. In this short Thailand wildlife overview I cover some of Thailand's amazing animals to allay some fears, and maybe stoke some.

* Box jellyfish
I just wanted to give visitors to Thailand a little overview about some of the dangerous animals that live in the country and what to watch out for. If I did a comprehensive video on this topic, it would be a 24 hour video. There is so much to say about various bugs and reptiles that live here.
I could have also covered the bears, tigers, civettes, monitor lizards, and a ton of other animals you are really not likely to see at all, but I wanted to keep this short - around 20 mins.
